It is a very popular tourist area, as it has long sandy beaches and lovely clear waters which ensure its success throughout the long summer months.
Torretta is an excellent base to explore this wonderful coastline, with good public transport links to neighbouring towns such as Ciro’ Marina. There is easy access to the ever expanding Crotone Airport, which is just 40 minutes drive, or if you prefer Lamezia airport is reachable in just over 1.5 hours or Bari Airport which is 2 hours away. If you enjoy more strenuous sports or just want to take in the breath taking scenery, you can drive to the Sila Mountains National Park in just over an hour, where you can participate in winter sports, summer hiking, or just relax among the beautiful mountain scenery.
